My studio work is inspired by the cities where I have lived and traveled. Through drawing, painting, and collage, I construct cities that oscillate between the real and the imagined; the abstract and the representational. Through my drawing process I attempt to choreograph architecture, and through mapping and collage, I chart memory, opportunity, and loss.
My commissioned works often incorporate my studio influences and style, but are ultimately client-driven. I accommodate the vision of individuals and businesses to create meaningful works of art that are an asset to their personal and public spaces.
I was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, I received my BA from DePaul University in Chicago and my MFA from Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, and I currently live and work in Brooklyn, NY. I have shown my work in Barcelona, Shang-hai, Italy, California, Boston, and New York. Some of my drawings are currently available through Pierogi Gallery in New York.
